In20xx Notes is a text-only note app for people who write a lot and want to keep what they write. Notes live as plain files in folders inside folders inside folders — exactly where you put them, exactly where you'll find them again.
Your tree on the left. Your text in the middle. An outline on the right that follows along as you scroll. Three columns, one purpose: keep the writing at the centre of the screen.
A panel that doesn't close. Jot the half-thought, the phone number, the sentence you'll use later. Mark folders with a color and an icon if that helps you find them — or don't, and let the names do the work.
Open more than one note at once. Each lives in its own tab. Pull a reference from one while you write in another — no splitting windows, no losing your place.
"I wanted somewhere to put words without the software performing the act of putting words somewhere. In20xx Notes is the closest I've come."
