Most note apps want your attention. In20xx Notes only wants your text. It does not sync to a service you can't see. It does not render your words into a database. It does not ask you to log in. It opens a folder, shows you the tree, and gets out of the way.

Tree-based notes

Folders inside folders inside folders. Branch your thoughts as deep as they need to go. The whole tree stays visible on the left; collapse what you don't need, expand what you're working on.

No rich text. No embedded images. No blocks, no embeds, no drag handles. Just words and the whitespace between them — the way writing was before software tried to help.

Persistent scratch pad

A side panel that stays open no matter what else you're doing. Catch the thought before it leaves. Move it into the tree later, or never — the scratch pad remembers.

Your data, your place

Notes are plain files in a folder you choose. Put them on your disk, on a thumb drive, in a cloud folder you already trust. Move them, copy them, back them up, grep them. They're yours.

Fast and lightweight

Opens in under a second. Stays under 12 MB in memory. No telemetry, no updater running in the background, no helper processes. It launches, it works, it closes.
